A strength of our program are the facilitators and organisations who share their skills, knowledge and stories with the participants. These include:
Kiilalaana, Shantelle Thompson (Barkindji)
A Jui-Jitsu World Champion, Shantelle uses martial arts to educate participants on leadership and life skills sessions
Ron Murray (Wemba Wemba)
Ron has worked with a range of groups in various sectors. His sessions focus on storytelling, culture and Aboriginal history.
Nirodah educate participants on emotional intelligence, particularly relating to relationship education and violence prevention
Victorian Aboriginal Health Services (VAHS)
The Healthy Lifestyle team from VAHS deliver health promotional messages through their healthy choices sessions.
Jordan Edwards and Michael Naawi
Jordon and Michael are both alumni of the REAL program. Their sessions teach participants cultural dance, whilst building teamwork and a connection to Country.
Koorie Heritage Trust
KHT facilitate cultural walks around Melbourne’s key cultural areas, and deliver sessions sharing local knowledge of the land.
